PRIUS MIND-CONTROLLED BIKE

A futuristic concept bike that allows riders to shift gears with their minds.

We built an aero-road bike imbued with the same forward-thinking that went into the design of the Prius. The innovative twist? You can switch gears with your mind. The helmet is outfitted with sensors to detect the brain’s electrical signals and communicate with the gear-shifting mechanism. The bike has additional design features from our partners at Parlee Cycles, including a monocoque carbon-fiber frame, built-in smartphone dock, and countless wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamic tweaks. A custom app also tracks speed and heart rate, and serves as a secondary method for switching gears. This project was part of Toyota’s Prius Projects, celebrating the innovation and optimization behind Prius.
