Built for the Ideas for Good campaign, Deeplocal created a model disaster-relief tent that uses the Toyota Prius Solar Powered Ventilation System to help keep workers and those they serve more comfortable in the field.
Using actual Toyota Prius parts including the solar panel, the blower fan, and the controls, Deeplocal built a ventilation system for a geodesic dome disaster relief tent that alleviated the uncomfortably hot temperatures that typically plague relief tents. Enclosed in a weather-proof case, the ventilation system utilized a charge controller and battery that allowed the system to run continuously.
