Technical Internship
Deeplocal is seeking an unpaid technical intern with a Computer Science focus and programming experience with JavaScript, PHP, HTML and CSS. Strong experience with at least one JavaScript library such as jQuery (preferred), Ext or YUI is also required. Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are also essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern and familiarity with PHP MVC frameworks such as Symfony (preferred) or CakePHP
- General understanding of relational and schema-less database architectures (primarily PostgreSQL/MySQL and Amazon SimpleDB) and appropriate applications for both
- Interest in solving complex programming challenges and the ability to find humor in the little things
- Ability to take ownership of a product and see it through to its completion with limited oversight
